(Description beneath image)
Zebra baby quilt (1999). 100% cotton.
Pieced patchwork, with machine quilting. Measurements: 30"x44"
(three squares by four squares).
This was a simple design that I
enhanced by carefully cutting out the squares to maximize the number
of zebras in each block, and by selecting colors for sashing that
made the larger squares "sing." I put a soft buffalo plaid
flannel on the reverse, and then machine-quilted the entire piece
to outline the zebras, and to set off the squares from the sashing.
